“Honor the space between no longer and not yet.” — Nancy Levin
This quote has been a mantra in my life and yoga practice. It’s given me permission to pause and listen as I let go of what is no longer. I have a tendency to rush to the next pose, breath, or activity.
This space gives me permission to focus on being instead of doing.
Join me for an exploration of the “space between” during this outdoor yoga workshop. We will begin with a short discussion of akasha (space) as an element in practice. You will explore movements that help cultivate space by tracking breath and movement.
Sliding and gliding movements on the earth will ease you into your body and prepare you for the standing postures that cultivate strength and endurance. As the movements come to a natural completion, we will do a seated or supine breathing practice to cultivate grounding and space. We’ll leave time for you, write, draw, or rest in what is present in your mind and heart.
May this time help you settle and embody what you need in this space of transition.
