This haiku by James Hackett has been one of my favorites for years. While bringing it into my movement practice continues to reveal endless layers, the way it informs my life is equally as meaningful. June's theme is applied to both the SATYA and Asana Series in different ways. Each series stands alone, or take both to find the complementary experiences of SATYA and Asana with this inquiry.
Asana Series
Dates: Mondays, June 7, 14, 21, 28
Time: 5:30-6:15 pm PST
Tuition: $45-$80 sliding scale. Series Valued at $60. Additional discounts available; please email me for more information.
What to Expect in the Asana Classes
We will practice yoga asana by using the haiku from James Hacket to inspire our exploration. Each class will include a combination of breath-based flow and The Pause. We will focus on standing poses and sun salutations in a full spectrum of shapes and movements.
What does it feel like to be the huge fish? What does it feel like to be the current? What does it feel like to be motionless in the current?
Notes on the Logistics:
This series shares the same theme as the June SATYA series. Each series can be taken alone, but doing both offers another perspective.
45-minutes of themed practice that builds over the four-week series.
5 to 15-minute mindfulness practice that you do on your own after logging out of Zoom.
If you have to miss a live class unexpectedly (or want to join, but the time doesn't work for you), let me know, and I'll email you a link to the Zoom recording you can practice with later.
When you register, the class time will automatically adjust to your time zone.
